Catherine Martin
Catherine Martin is a summa cum laude graduate of Bethel Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies, former staff member of Campus Crusade for Christ and the Josh McDowell Ministry. She is the recipient of the Faculty Award from Bethel Theological Seminary and has been elected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Catherine is Director of Women’s Ministries at Southwest Community Church, Founder and President of Quiet Time Ministries, and is on the Adjunct Faculty of Biola University. She is author of A Heart To See Forever, A Heart On Fire, A Heart That Dances, Revive My Heart!, Pilgrimage Of The Heart, Six Secrets To A Powerful Quiet Time, Knowing And Loving The Bible, The Quiet Time Notebook, and Editor of the Enriching Your Quiet Time Magazine. Her first three books of quiet times have recently been published by NavPress as part of a new series Quiet Times For The Heart. She has been married to David, her husband, for 21 years and they have lived here in the desert for 7 years. As Director of Women’s Ministries for the last five years, she oversees hundreds of women who use their gifts to serve the Lord here at Southwest Community Church. She has a passion for devotion to God and loves to challenge and encourage others to spend quiet time with God in His Word and in prayer. Her life verse is Psalm 27:4: “One thing I have asked from the Lord; that I shall seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and meditate in His temple.”
